Powers Ranger District, the northern-most District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, offers many spectacular and rewarding recreation opportunities. Fourteen campgrounds and nine scenic trails await visitors seeking fun, relaxation, and adventure in the southwestern Oregon's famed woodlands. Marvelous vistas appear around nearly every turn along roads and trails. Topography of the area ranges from moderate slopes to steep, rugged terrain. Abundant small streams, ridges, bluffs, and waterfalls delight and refresh the visitor. A northern gateway to the District's the old logging town of Powers, nestled along the South Fork of the Coquille River.
